His job is going to get a lot harder in Nashville, unless Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes are coming with him.

It's strange. I was listening to NFL radio today and they talked about this. His going to be the GM but the President of Football Operations person will still have all decision making power for football. Meaning the GM is just a title with no power.
They were asking why would he leave to take this position when he is not in control of anything. Just weird. No drafting power. No roster control power. He reports to the PFO instead of owner.

Great Question. I originally thought one might have more of a management and business executive background, and the other a scouting and talent evaluation background, but…. Nope
Their backgrounds are both very similar. Both are roughly the same age, both played college football and graduated in the early 2000’s, both began their NFL careers in scouting departments in 2009.
Borgonzi rose up the ranks in Kansas City, and was named Asst GM in 2021.
Chad Brinker spent most of his career in Green Bay, until Tennessee hired him as Asst GM in 2023.
Having a PFO to serve as ownership’s on-site representative does make sense on the surface for the Titans. Amy Adams Strunk isn’t a good owner. The organizational structure from the ownership group down to front office is inconsistent, primarily because of when and how she chooses to step in and make decisions.
However, hiring two people with nearly identical résumés to do the same job, with two different job titles is very odd.

Sunbelt Billy is doing similar things with his coaching staff. Finally was able to break through and beat LSU and win more than 6 games.
