Glen Guilbeau is on now and is saying that he is hearing that Jimbo had turned down the last LSU offer but is still interested. Guillbeau says the latest offer was around 7 mil.

Give him 8, give him 9. It will be cheaper than giving some lesser talented coach 6 and then having to pay the buy out in 2 years.

They're probably reporting what Random posted earlier. That Jimbo countered, and LSU didn't think the counter was outlandish. If that's true, then this deal is getting done.

Got to have a limit in the negotiation. Anyway I think Fisher would stay in Tally otherwise he would accept it days ago.

Not necessarily. He wasn't going to leave FSU in the middle of the season to come to LSU.
