Everybody has a price. Everybody. Patterson likely won't leave, and won't leave for a dumpster fire like Arkansas. But you're kidding yourself he wouldn't pick up the phone and listen if Texas comes calling.

Rumors around FW are that he has connections with 3 or 4 TCU alum that haven given him shares of their claim to the Barnett Shale as long as he is the hc at TCU. These claims are worth in the 20-30 million dollar range for Patterson. It's all rumor but it make sense why he hes stayed so long.
