Come on. Stoops is far superior to O. Would we be excited? No. But, it’d be a steady hire. I just don’t think he’d be able to manage the heat……this isn’t UK

You do not fire your NC winning coach to hire the coach of Kentucky. This was not promised to us!

O is 3 plays away from 9 wins. He screwed up alot but Id rather the screw I know rather than over pay an unknown screw up.

During contributing to the buy out talk, we were promised the best! Not Stoops!

Dumb. Enjoy 8-9 wins a year in the SEC

Holy hell...

A text message after all that?

Riley might be fricking up his future...because its now a thing...

He flirts but lacks the balls to make the jump.

A few 8 and 4 seasons in the SEC...and boomer the sooner...he goes from 12 mill rock star to an OC position

A wise person doesn’t fire O and pay the enormous buyout just to bring in a Stoops type hire. If SW does that he gone.

The hire makes no difference, orgeron had to go.

Napier could be sold as an up and comer. Many like Napier. I believe Dave has the strongest support from Boosters if we get to that next level.

Yeah I figured that was a metaphor. People are reading way too much into what he said after the emotional loss.

Personally I like Napier over Riley...don't know why, just gut feeling...

But like Sullivan in baseball went sideways at the last minute, we ended up with the better coach I believe with Jay...I believe this too will end up having a better outcome than many believe...

So Riley risks all that being his current job etc and he don't even get a pay raise from Oklahoma....maybe he is soft like alot of Oklahoma fans say.

Big LSU boosters better start demanding Urban Meyer then. I don't care how many college butts he's fingered. Throw 15 million at Meyer, call it a day.

When exactly did he say no?

That matters.

I feel like riley likes being wanted and doesn't want to commit.

I'm trying to remember who the 2 other ocs were.

He has a good oc now but I'd much rather an aranda type guy who shuts down one side of the ball.

If it indeed happened that way and coupled with his past job offerings, he may be involuntarily a permanent OU fixture. Not a bad gig.

Under those circumstances, no NCAA or NFL brass will trust negotiations in the future. That hand is played……IF true.

TBL thank you for your contributions...

Shea has been trying to tell us...but I just believed he was trying to keep the cat in the bag.

Well...

As a fan I just a hire we can be excited about...

Some names mentioned will destroy ticket sales...

Sure hope Woodward has an ace in his back pocket

With all do respect Johnson hasn't coached a single game or season here yet so let's pump the breaks.

I do think so far he's brought life back and seems like he will be a good coach but we haven't seen anything yet.

It’s a metaphor; the “text” is the press conference quote which I don’t think means much.
