They have to be looking at this with a healthy dose of anger mixed with fear. TAF has an intense debt load to shoulder and LSU Football floundering is bad for business. Couple that with the new Tax Code eliminating the donation deduction and people are going to be rethinking the value of their donation and their tickets.

Alleva’s perceived strength to FKA has been on the financial side, if that is no longer a strength then changes have to be made.

Nope for what ever reason Avella is Jesus Christ and F. King is god, and this ship will sink and burn till the BOS makes moves, and sadly I think that the BOS (well most of them) are just as retarded

TAF is just as big of a problem as Alleva and FKA. They aren’t going to save LSU football. They are spineless.

They will blame the non-payment on the new tax law.
Headlines: New Trump tax law cuts TAF donations in half.
They will blame Trump for it, not Allevia or O.

They expect donations to take a hit because of the new tax code, Alleva said as much a few weeks ago

they don’t expect that hit to be worsened by football floundering too. They literally can’t afford a “shitstorm” right now. And they damn sure can’t afford all of these buyouts and the bad press they bring on top of the shite storm that football is becoming

The new tax code mandates that people’s ticket donations are no longer deductible. Which means donations/ticket sales will decrease.

they expect donations to take a hit because of the new tax code? let me guess, we didnt have a season ticket sell out this past year because of taxes?

ticket sales decreased because they hired ed orgeron as the head coach and the program is going in the shitter. the season ticket holders arent basing their purchase on a fricking tax break.

lsu is in the gutter and the people in denial are the worst.

Maybe not to a large degree, but it's a pretty fair assumption that people will donate less if they can't exempt it.

But I agree that it's more to do with O

The real fallout of all of this is TAF’s budget taking a hit. They have sky high debt load and need renewals and discretionary donations now more than ever. If TAF goes to the big dogs for more money and they reduce or outright decline to donate/renew then the real problems begin. The tax code changes and losing the deductions fit into a negative narrative that is being intensified by very public mismanagement of the football program.

All of the new athletic buildings and facility refurbishments were done with debt. That doesn’t just go away. I wonder what TAF’s revised risk assessment looks like right now. It can’t be good.

Allowing incompetent ADs make piss poor hires has consequences for TAF. They made their bed.

Well they didn’t have the balls to stand up and force Alleva to go back to the drawing board before he hired O like a petulant child.

They can lie in the bed of crabs that they made.

ETA Adam beat me to it, posted while I was typing.
