*Gone: Porter (LSU RB coach and top recruiter) to Memphis as HC Porter to Memphis

*Gone: McCarthy (WR coach) "resigned" in wake of recruiting investigation McCarthy Resigns

*Hired: Frank Wilson (TN WR coach) replaces Porter as RB coach and chief recruiter Wilson to LSU

*Hired: Billy Gonzales (UF WR coach and top recruiter) joins LSU as WR coach and "passing game coordinator". Gonzo to LSU

No change to this point:
*Gary Crowton
*Studrawa (OL coach)

Noteworthy:
Tyke Tolbert, former LSU WR and current Bills WR coach was rumored to have been contacted by LSU prior to LSU hiring Gonzo from UF. If Tolbert does join staff, we won't hear final word until after NFL season. If you want mass confusion, check this out... My head is starting to explode

I would take nothing for granted with Les at the wheel.

Losing Porter and McCarthy is big. Miles replacing those big shoes with guys with feet as big or bigger is huge. I don't think he's dumb enough to go and frick it all up by making Gonzo OC.

However, the big names arriving does lead me to believe that there may well be a big ego OC in the works that these guys want to work with.

Thank God for this sticky, I've seen Calculus and Organic Chemistry that was easier to follow and understand than what's happened so far.

It's all of the conjecture people are stating as fact that has made everything so convoluted.

Yo, Crowton and Studrawa (along with all the other assistants) got raises and a new deal for... two? years, I think.
