We're all having a good time here; Riley or not. You're the one who joined in, willingly, and is now bitching about it. You know you could just stop reading and posting here and that would fix your issue with this board.

I kind of feel sorry for Oklahoma…there’s really no good outcome to this regardless of how it plays out for them. It’s kind of an odd situation for them.

Even if he stays, they’ve obviously got some internal football issues that are going to prevent them from even sniffing a national title anytime soon.

They've convinced themselves that Riley did all this as a master plan to steal LSU recruits in the future.

Riley isn't flying to BTR
The guy said to look for a plane from BTR to Norman. Not the other way around

He said expect a flight from BR to Norman in the middle of next week to finalize the paperwork, not flying to BR.

Nope, not going to get me. There will be no flight. He might be the next LSU head coach but there will not be a flight this week to finalize paperwork.

do not doubt that but I find it pure idiotic from the outside looking in that they cost themselves $17M to hire a coach they could have transitioned to for free at any point in the last 5+ years

Give it till next weekend I promise you’ll be happy
I have no idea if he has legit info, but let's assume for the sake of argument it's 100% true.

He's not the only one who's said something very cryptic and very similar.

The promise is to everyone that they would be happy. Last I checked, people are divided and there is no one that would pretty much be guaranteed make everyone on this board happy.

Or is there?

Right because many want Riley while many others want Aranda. I can't imagine any guy out there that if selected would make everyone happy.

I reckon Saban, but that is just so far-fetched for me to absorb.

no doubt

OU has to beat OSU twice to get in the CFP, there would be zero need to do anything until the OU season has been decided

why wednesday? announce the hire Monday or Tuesday after TAMU game and introduce the guy in person after

Well hell, maybe not. We're talking huge dollars, and we know he and Mrs (Terry) loved them some LSU.

If he intends to coach for the rest of his life then we'd be fine. I believe I recall him saying that as long as he feels 100% committed and impactful to the extent he has been that he'd keep right on keeping on. We'll welcome that fricker with open arms if he wants to build a dynasty at LSU.

Whale, whale money, biggest regret of his life is leaving, would not give a frick announcing it next week, T-town blues, GOAT move for him and AD, he'd go nuts if he retires, where would she rather be? Biggest question is buyout?

All just fantasy speculation of course.
