If he can stay sober it's a damn good hire

Lane and sark both are good qb developers and play callers. Ppl may not like them but facts are facts

More Southern Cal leftovers.
Geez, anybody else left over from the Pete Carroll era that doesn't have a job? Maybe the special teams coach from 2008 can be named UCLAs new head coach.
How many other coaches have gotten the chances of Kiffin/Sarkisian despite at best mixed results? - ESPN

I remember back when the gators had a head baseball coach who was an alcoholic, and during a 3 game series at the Old Box, every time he came out of the dug out, to coach at 3rd or to visit the mound, 4-5 LSU fans along the 3rd base line started ringing bells, signaling Happy Hour. He was visually miserable the whole wkend. Sark may well hear bells on his way to the press box on road games.

Most stressful job ever accepted by a recovering alcoholic.

Butt butt butt he fell off the wagon and got drunk again.

After Saban drills him a new ahole a few times, he'll be back on the bottle by mid season.

Will look something like this midyear. Farkable material.

The stress will drive him to drink.
He's going to do that anyway.

As much as I think Saban is the greatest CFB coach of all time, I think he is really rolling the dice with Sark.
The man's last gig crashed and burned with him showing up to team and school functions so drunk he was fired. I am all for second chances, but unless Saban's verbal wrath can sober a man up, it could be a big problem. Sarkisian may be a liability in both recruiting and in program continuity. Eventually, even the mighty Bama will fall again.
I know everyone will say that Saban is too good and doesn't need help recruiting, but to me this signals that Saban either settled and picked Sark based on how he fits the current offensive mold or he's beginning to lose that laser focus that addresses every detail.
Lane Kiffin's opportunity with Saban was a better fit because LK only lacked maturity. Sarkisian is a legitimate time bomb.

Hey I needed to look twice I thought I was mistakenly on the gump site. Who really gives two shits about Bama and there new alcoholic OC Cutty Shark ? He was a good coach but with a lot of demons. Should be a fun and interesting season/playoff for gumps with Cutty Shark dialing it up and knocking it back.

I don't even think its a high risk hire. Half the people on this board could call the plays XBOX style and they'd end up with 35 ppg next season for that Bama O
Sark was one of my top 3 preferences for the LSU job
