Steve Sarkisian is a GOOD coach

This man just directed an offense that finished TOP 6 in the NFL and got canned. Ya I mean he isn’t as great as Shanahan but my God.
For Falcons fans why does he get so much hate?
Finished
10th in Total Points
6th in Total Yards
4th in Passing Yards Per Game
He had to deal with a season of many injuries including to their main running back... I don’t understand the hate. He can’t be blamed for the fumbles or O-Line issues. I have only watched a few of their games but I feel like he is being scapegoated. In terms of his next job I feel like if he got his hands on Miami, LSU or Tennessee’s Offense he could do well.

They were dreadful in the red zone.
Your job as an OC is to call plays that result in points. He didn't accomplish that. Being successful between the 20s is irrelevant.

Okay that makes sense. But didn’t they have like an ungodly amount of red zone fumbles? Also they still finished top 10 in points lol

Sarks teams have struggled running the ball, especially getting into the end zone the past 2 years. Running is down ~20 yards a game this year so they have leaned on Matty Ice. Still, It’s amazing how Julio struggles inside the RedZone with every coordinator. He should be catching 10 plus TDs a year.

Sarks still a good coordinator. He’d be a huge upgrade from Esminger. If LSU can bag him then they should.

There was lots of talk with Orgeron coaching here.

Well was Atlanta ever really GOOD at running the ball even with Shanahan? Heck they were 17th in the league in Rushing Yards per game with him in 2016.

Look at all the weapons he has, offense better be top 10
And a lot of that was in garbage time

Losing Freeman will do that. Their main RB Coleman increased his average from 4.0 ypc last season to 4.8. That's a nice jump.

He eats his boogers.

The main issue with Sark was that, outside of the other day against a disinterested Bucs team, he showed an inability to make in-game adjustments. If his game plan didn't work, the Falcons were screwed.

This move screams that Matt wasn’t happy with Sark. I believe he did a good job with all of the OL injuries.. you can’t blame him for penalties, dropped passes, and injuries. DQ is doing this to save his job, but he put a TON of pressure on himself.

Still, say "Come on down Lane"! You can bang all the bitches in BR hell Lafayette too!!!

Sarkisian is going to lsu as oc at 1.75 mil yearly

Can’t stand him. He should have called more than 4 designed runs in the final 22+ minutes of the national championship game and found a way to milk clock and get the Bama D some rest while up double digits in the second half.

I don’t know. He’s good, but still a re-tread with a past at this point. Addiction is a life-long ordeal and coaching is an amazingly stressful job. I know he has held it together for a few years now, but people would be crazy to not recognize that there is risk in hiring him.
