In what world does Bill Belicheck lack awareness?

ETA always an unknown on how someone will fit on the college level, but Steve is a really good coach and the players really liked him. I was surprised he didn’t get a position job and set himself up for another NFL DC job in short order but working with Fisch makes sense

In the world of doesn't care what he looks like or what he says. I probably should have qualified that. In terms of coaching, he has superb awareness.

I think that one of the pitfalls of being a famous coach (or the son of a famous coach who is now a coach) is every facial, movement, or clothing idiosyncrasy will be captured on film at some point.

For Bill's son, it seems to be that weird thing with his tongue. For Bill I think of the odd hoodie obsession he seems to have and the deadpan look he usually has in his press conferences.

I wonder if Steve will be the defensive savant his dad was.

It's been bad. I believe every starter on offense is gone and most on defense. It will be a rebuild. Unfortunately DeBoer didn't recruit well, so the roster isn't stocked with underclassmen either.

Imagine him coming into your home with his Braveheart haircut to recruit your son.

The University of Washington is also hiring Patriots RB coach Vinnie Sunseri to its coaching staff to work with the secondary.

It’s a familiar spot for Sunseri who won two National Championships as a safety during his playing career at Alabama before being drafted by the Saints in 2014.

He also coached for Nick Saban at Alabama before 4 seasons at the NFL level with the Patriots.

Looks like Fisch is going to try to sell "come play for an nfl staff" to players to come to Washington and develop under good coaches.

He could also be trying to parlay this into an NFL HC job and already have much of his staff ready to go.

That’s probably what he’s got his eyes on. He doesn’t like to stay at one place for long

Well we'll see if he's any good without daddy's oversight
