lets assume O goes 4-1 or such and we can't get herman. So we tab O as the next head coach.

what does the staff look like?

I think we see pete move to a admin role, O brings in new dline coach.
BDP likely to be let go, he basically fired him from D and has been upset about special teams so i think safe to assume BDP is gone.

Offense gets a bit trickier but i don't think he would replace Craig or Juluke. Ensminger probably has to go back tight end coach as I would guess one stipulation for taking O is he brings in a big name oc.

Then you have Grimes and Moffit. Both have taken shite from me and others on here about being done and such. However with the no revelations about Miles insanity maybe Moffit is still near the top of the S&C guys.

O would never be a ft hc at LSU. It would be the emotion-at-the-moment, flavor-of-the-day (not even flavor of the month), and the dumbest thing the admin would do. If they did, however, OC would be the first turn over at the end of year one for O.

O actually has a chance to do what no other candidates can. He can prove he can actually beat sec west teams and recruit at the highest level. If he does prove himself it would be stupid not to hire him.

Dummy DABO was just a little WR coach to Interim to HC.

Why can't O

Over 8 games?

So disregard the 3 season he recruited and hardly ever beat SEC teams?

Orgeron was asked to build a program at OLE MISS and he is not that guy. At USC he was asked to keep the status quo and he did and at LSU same and he is. I see a good Coach at 2 Big Time programs and he even recruited at a very high level at Ole Miss. But like I said he was asked to build the a program and he was not that guy. Sorry for repeating myself.

because Dabo didn't fail miserably at building his own team before that.

O will not have to build a program from scratch. He needs to fine tune it, improve the offense and keep recruiting.

And you honestly think we can win championships with him at HC? Because I'm having a hard time thinking that.

This board would absolutely fricking melt down to its core if LSU ended up hiring someone 1 year removed from being a WR coach.

Worse than it would if O gets the head gig.

I'm sure he's the perfect man for the job with all of his success and offensive experience.
