It at least saves some money during the probation era. Why waste money when it’s obvious you won’t compete for titles for at least a couple of years?

One of the reasons Luke is getting the job is that he isn't changing the program. He is the puppet for some Ole Miss boosters.

Yeah they could have had any of those coaches. I think the only coach they had contact with beside Luke was Willie Taggart.
