Nebraska already is NIL loaded. I heard on Cover 3 and it makes sense that with Nebraska's NIL money and USC/UCLA coming to the Big 10 this could help Nebraska get back into California recruiting. This is why I believe the recruiters at Nebraska that have ties to California and Texas will be pivotal. With NIL there's no reason recruits shouldn't want to go to Nebraska for a few years.

If Rhule is smart he’ll take a lower salary from
Nebraska due to his Carolina payout and let the boosters put that money towards NIL because Nebraska is not an attractive place to be a college football player.

Nebraska is already top 5 in NIL I don't know the full ranks. There is some dumb money in this state that is all centered on one team

Good hire for Nebraska if true. Rather him there than in the SEC.

Great hire. Not saying that Nebraska should be on Ohio St, Michigan or even PSU’s level, but they should be contending for their division every damn year over the likes of Wisky, Iowa, Illinois and Minnesota.

This isn't the 1970's to 90's. Nebraska is a dead-end coaching job.

No state talent to build on and best players aren't going to want to spend their careers in god awful Lincoln, NE. Has anyone ever spent a winter there?

The fact this wasn't Auburn's #1 target is sad and hilarious. NU is basically a dead ant pile of a program.

From a coaches standpoint, Nebraska has sunk so low that its now an easier job to keep the fans happy at than Auburn. 9 win seasons with gritty teams that can beat Iowa, Wisconsin etc will have him considered a savior. At AU you need a consistent SEC title contender with .500 record against UGA and Bama to ever get any loyalty.

And y’all would be calling him a terrible hire if Auburn had offered him.

And if anyone was actually serious about that.. they should have appropriately been called a dumbass.

Nebraska is a dead end program. If Rhule can turn them around then it would be a miracle.

Good hire is an understatement. It's the best possible hire given the state of their program.
