I am not sure why him not being a bad coach has to make me like the hire
When your qualification is "he is not a bad coach" that is less than inspiring, does not mean he can't be successful here though, it is just an uninspiring hire

he's not at the sisters of the poor. Mizzou should be a middle of the pack team, and drink has gotten them there....cool.
He's not so outperformed expectations you can't say "man if that guy had the horses!" He's just ok. You could do worse but he hasn't really shown he can elevate
Also, it's a red flag when an offensive coach has mostly had mediocre offenses.

0-6 vs ranked SEC teams the last two seasons, soft Big 12 style teams, zero fit with Louisiana/LSU.
Why do we want a nicer, less accomplished BK?

i don’t care what he did at app state
ohio state had a million opt outs, tennessee went 8-4
Compare this to Miles who had not 1 but 2 wins against prime Stoops OU

Means nothing. Less than nothing.
LSU could hire a chinese intern and hed be a good fit if he won games here. That is a tired and worn out phrase.

If it meant nothing BK would have been successsful here. Instead we have a roster with only 36 Louisiana kids and we see the results that bears.

i don’t think anyone would demand he have a winning record against the big boys at Missou, at the same time it’s totally fair to ask to see evidence that they guy can win a big game here and there.

I agree, you should have said that the first time instead of making some shite up

what did i make up?
i get it’s Missouri but they play a joke OCC to pad wins which makes it look better on paper than it actually is.
even the one pretty good year they had in 2023 their 2 decent to good wins were against 8-4 Kansas State and 8-4 Tennessee. Their other wins, Arky, USCe, Kentucky, and Florida all had losing records in the conference and none finished better than 7-6 overall. Credit for not shitting the bed but this doesn’t inspire confidence that he can take the next step.
those are facts. relevant facts.

So you’re saying 8-4 Tennessee was a big win
Or are you saying Ohiopt-out State was a big win?

Yes beating your conference rival to stay in the hunt for the conference championship in route to an 11 win season is a big win

Correct. Hes not melt worthy like some people here have made him out to be. A normal time frame for a coach to turn around a program is about 2-3 years. After his first 3 seasons, he has since gone 27-8 at Mizzou.
He’s not incompetent like most here make him out to be. There’s really not a whole lot of coaches on the market that would do any better there, IMO.
I wouldn’t hate it. I wouldn’t melt like a lot of people will. And most people probably have never even watched more than 2 of his full games
Typical message board Joe though.
