I don't get this infatuation with Miles suddenly. During the season, this board is as close to a witch hunt as anything I ever witnessed.

NOW: Miles is revered and LSU is expanding the trophy case to hold the next 8 consecutive BCS Trophies???

Where will everyone on here be when Crowton is retained by Miles for next season???

LSU made Saban and Miles.
Miami or Bama do not call Saban if not for LSU elevating Saban's Stature (pun intended).

Miles does not whiff an interview with Michigan w/o LSU catapulting his name into relevance...

SO, I am not too concerned about LSU- it made these two men, it will make another.

Never hated Miles.

I admit that LSU had a lot of potential, but you have to give Saban credit. We weren't winning before, and it was for a reason. We were kind of like Arizona State for the previous 15 years or so.

i'd rather keep miles than take my chances with another Archer, Hallman, or Dinardo. If LSU makes coaches... we've made some shitty ones too.

Miles has fricked up from time to time but I like his overall results. I have never hated him.

All coaches frick up and I am smart enough to recognize this. We have a good thing going (it's not perfect) and I don't want to risk the unknown.

I feel like Mullen would do well but I'm not pleased with many other available candidates.

There are 61,000 registered members here. I think it's unrealistic to expect us all to speak with one voice.

Except in the case of Crowton.

bingo. most LSU fans are fricking idiot ruhtards and cant be happy.

ex. 1 - someone at my cotton bowl party bitchin' because we did not try to score up 17 pts in the 4th. what kind of a-hole does this?

I have been pro miles. never made a negative comment about him.

And yes, I am in the 98th percentile of rational LSU fans. My competition is weak though
FYI - crowton is garbage. He needs to go.

There is a vocal minority that are against Miles. I have always been pro-Miles and really can't understand the negativity. 3 time management gaffs where we won two of those games doesn't seem to warrent all the negativity.

Have you never heard of the mythical perfect season for the LSU fanbase?

An undefeated season followed by firing the head coach!

I've been pretty consistent. I don't want Miles. I don't believe he fits well here.

I want him to go to Michigan.

This is a problem but my biggest reason to "hate" on Miles is b/c of the positigers. They heap the praise on him but won't allow one bad thing sad about him.

I hear ya. What irritates me is negative nellies who already are trashing Bo Pelini, before he's coached a down at LSU. If it turns out to be Pelini, we all need to get behind him.

That said, here is my sentiment: if I knew LSU could hire someone from the "A" list of candidates (Gruden, Patterson, Mullen, Spurrier, Sarkasian), I'd be all for thanking Les for his service and seeing him on his way to Michigan. If however I knew LSU would have to settle for a "B" list candidate (Pelini, Malzahn, Tuberville, Strong, Leach, Holtz) then I'd just as soon keep Les, w/ a strong recruiting class coming in.

Regardless of what I want, Les will do what he feels he has to do -- if that's go to Michigan, than I hope Alleva does everything within his power to hire an "A" lister, before settling on a "B" lister. But if it turns out to be Bo Pelini, I think that would be a solid hire and not the disaster some of the Chicken Littles are portraying.

I'm indifferent on Miles leaving, but scared as hell about who Alleva will hire to replace him.
