So we are rooting for Baylor tomorrow right?

I really didn't think Riley would leave OU, but my thought is that if he realizes he has not shot at pulling a NC there he would see the opportunity that LSU presents.
Lose to Baylor and possibly another loss to Iowa St or Ok St and OU is out of the CFP and we can get this party started.

If Riley were to end up in BR, which I don't think he will, you need OU to be out of the playoff race ASAP
One loss probably does it but it isn't a nail in the coffin because other teams around the country could trip up and put a one loss Oklahoma team right back in the conversation.
at Baylor
Iowa State
at Oklahoma State
Looks tricky with the way OU has been playing but with the emergence of Williams at QB, I wouldn't be shocked to see them win out.
What if OU finished the season on a 3 game losing streak? Would Riley lose a little bit of luster with the board or would people chalk it up to his mind being elsewhere?

I’m rooting for a very close win for Baylor:)

I was gonna pull for Aranda anyway.

Should be rooting for them whether Lincoln is/was in the running or not. Always fun to watch Oklahoma choke

Yes, we need to ride for Baylor.

I like Aranda more than Riley. I want Dave to come home.

No chance a one loss Big 12 team makes the playoff.
Oklahoma COULD be left out as an undefeated.

For me no. Riley has enough of a body of work to know he's an exceptional coach.
Riley will attract top QBs and LSU has a history with top WRs and RBs. He's also done will with OL so offense should be a non-issue. As long as LSU gets a quality DC I have no doubt Riley would have LSU competing for the playoffs on a regular basis "if" he ends up here.

Absolutely…win-win
1) eliminates OU from playoff, takes that potential hurdle out of the Riley equation
2) feather in the cap for Dave, I like him anyway and root for him regardless of implications on coaching search
3) if somehow it does end up being Aranda, makes me feel even better about Aranda to LSU if he’s got his program beating OU in Year2
(All that said, I don’t think Baylor wins…I’ve got money on OU this weekend, M/L and ATS)
