I get why Orgeron wants him because they’re tight but C’mon man, if you’re an administrator or a higher up, how do you sign off on this?

Ensminger has been fired three times: In 1996 as Texas A&M's offensive coordinator; in 1998 at Clemson's offensive coordinator; in 2008 at Auburn at tight ends coach.

At Auburn, it looked like Chizik simply wanted his guys into the program. Even then though, LSU looks like it’s in the business of printing money for unwanted coaches.

I'd say that coaches who have never been fired are very very rare.

Coaches, even good coaches, get fired all the time. Nature of the beast.

However, he is old, hasn't been an OC in 20 years, etc etc.

LSU needs new blood running a spread concept system.

That may be true, but there’s nothing about Ensminger that points to him evolving in the modern college game.

That's why a dinosaur, like 0, likes him so much.

I guess I'm different. I'm tired of A&M trying to run a 'modern' spread offense. I want to line up under center and throw to tight ends. The type of offenses that Baylor, Okie State, etc. also make it pretty hard on the defense as well.

Shhh...leave 'em be. It's fun to watch how many ways the shite can be spun.

I think the biggest question is does a guy that already stated once he didn't want to be the OC have the desire to put in all the extra work that's required of an OC? At this stage in his career and life does he really want this because he has to be all in.

Canada’s now been fired three times. What’s your point?
