considering malzhan has 1 good year as an OC in the BCS running his offense, then yeah...

So Auburn's offense was "bad" in Gus's 1st year with Chris Todd @ QB? fricking ranter. Go back to the Rant.

Gus is too scared to run his own program. Absolutely no reason he shouldn't be a head coach right now. Don't give me the right opportunity line either, James Franklin was able to win at Vandy.

Here you are always standing on the full retard line.

i've been critical of malzhan since he first showed up with his pitiful spread passing attack that was horrible at arkansas

it only worked if you play in a shite conference without pass rushers

then he creates a spread option offense that hasn't done anything outside of 2011

yeah...i'm going full retard

The lot of plays thing really hurt them this year. Their defense just wasn't good enough to handle the pile of three and outs auburn's offense gave them.

Malzahn was named "Offensive Coordinator of the Year" by Rivals in 2006, but Nutt thought "High School" needed some "hep" and brought in David Lee for "heppin'". He's a good OC in my opinion.

Malzahn could be making a shitton more than he is now a

So he could be making a whoping 200k more and be the head coach of vandy. Damn he is really sorry he turned that down. He wasn't going to make 3 mill at vandy, unless you think someone could win an sec and nc at vandy.

There's a lot to be said for stability/job security in re: to coaching situations. He only brings in a little over a smooth million a year as it is. Indeed, he may be a bit apprehensive or fearful in re: to a change. The present situation isn't too shabby. Not everyone is anxious to find their own personal "Peter Principle", yet others like Hootie thrive within it.

well then he and chiz need to start recruiting/scouting better

they have very well if you haven't noticed...Tubs recruited no one who could play OL so there was no one to fill the gap between the 2007 recruiting class and the 2010 recruiting class at OL

hence the sharp learning curve

Must be why Arkansas led the SEC in rushing and was 4th nationally.

Yup, you're a genius.

In other news, water is wet. Would he be a better OC if he put up a lot of yards with fewer plays?

And how do you know no school wants him? Perhaps he was offered jobs and turned them down. He is getting a lot of money at a winning program for less stress than taking over a crappy team. He might just be waiting for the right situation.

Plus, it's awfully difficult to have have much of a passing game when HOOTIE DON'T PASS. So I guess you could say we had one awfully good oxymoron of a running game though.
