that Miles will actually be considered, interviewed, or hired for the UM job? Any information leaks at this point?
Is it going to wait until after Saturday (SECCG)? SKip needs to man up and demand Miles to shite or get off the pot. We don't need this crap going into next few weeks of recruiting and bowl season. If he can't say definitively he's staying, make the choice for him.

My sources in Michigan say UM boosters think Miles is batshit crazy. He will be at LSU for a loooong time.

Miles isn't going anywhere. Who would want him?

Skip has made an offer to Miles and Miles has not yet accepted b/c he wants to know where UM and the Iowa coach stand. If, as expected, Ferentz turns down UM. Look for Miles to get the nod and LSU to look at Spurrier, Tubs, and believe it or not Little Nicky. I also stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Seems like Miles has made his position pretty clear. By not making the statement that he's staying before the last game, when he had to know the distraction the situation was causing to the team, he said everything he needed to say. If Michigan calls, he's going. Only question is whether they will call.

What offer? Extension or raise or both?
And why? Hey Les, once again you cracked under the pressure of being top dog when you had EVERYTHING lined up for you. Twice. How 'bout some more money?
If that is the case, I hope Les takes Skip along with him.

WWL interviewed a Detroit sports director last week who said there are some UM folks squarely on Miles and others who believe he is too much of a riverboat gambler and his style of play is just not Michigan.
Then Miles pulls off the most vanilla Michigan style first half he's run this year.
Coincidence?

sez the iowa message boards..i find it really hard to believe Michigan will hire Ferentz without at least interviewing Miles and a black candidate.

My biggest fear realized. I so hope you are wrong, but would guess you are right.

any credible information....NO!!!
But it sure is entertaining to listen to all the real estate/house buying, airport spotting/secret meeting, coaches wives spotted in town....stories!
It's always the same old stories, the only thing that changes are the coaches names...and sometimes that doesn't even change...

Is our desperation for UM to take this dude off our hands that transparent?

YEA. It would suck to go 10-2 again. I'm sure there is a coach out there who never makes mistakes and will win every game.

Probably not. But when it's setup like this and you blow it, you will be forever tagged as not a big game coach. Miles will never see the table set like it was this year. Yet he produced and undisciplined team that made fundamental mistake time and time again. 2 years straight to be widely considered the most talented team in the country and produce a 10-2 record. Records have to be evaluated relative to expectations. He has not met expectations.
It was only the great quality of the senior class that has made him look good these past couple of seasons. JR bailed him out at least twice last year.
I could list his idiotic mistakes but thats been done over and over again on this board.

Talk to Okla. St. fans and they kind of felt the same way when he left Stillwater. I've got lots of friends that are OSU alum and none of them were real upset when he left.

Maybe you should check and see how they feel about it now...
Or, maybe they're just stupid!
Oklahoma State (4 years under Miles)
28-21....2-2 against Oklahoma
Oklahoma State (3 years since Miles left)
17-19....0-3 against Oklahoma
