Kelly had the same problem at ND that Franklin had at Penn State, winning the big one.
When LSU hired him it was based on the belief Kelly did all he could with ND's limitations.
Now, it appears he is the same guy as Franklin (or now worse). That would make PSU 's move completely lateral in theory and pointless.
They may be better off doing a one year deal and finding a candidate next year instead of making a multi-year mistake.

I'm not buying that. It's too late for Penn State to be playing games.
They had over a month and a half to get their shite together, but now the signing period opens tomorrow, and their class is ranked behind Harvard.
Penn State botched the search, threw a Hail Mary at Sitake, and failed. It appears as simple as that.

Here's the thing. I don’t really care how Kelley might do at Penn St. I just want him to get a job. I think he's a good "fit" for the Nittany Lions.
