Since Miles usually produces the same results vs Bama, no way O gets the job

You simply do not fire a BCS champion coach only to replace him with someone that hasn't come close to winning one, and produces pretty similar results as LSU fans witnessed on 1/9
Its time to move on from O. FYI:
1/9/12
0 - points
2 - turnovers
5 - first downs
92 - total yards
39 - rushing yds
53 - passing yds
24:34 TOP
11/5/16
0 - points
1 - turnovers
6 - first downs
125 - total yards
33 - rushing yds
92 - passing yds
26:05 TOP

All intelligent fans will agree with this.

I heard Hanagriff read some of those comps on the postgame show Saturday night. All I could do was shake my head.

some of you are fricking idiots.
people have been saying for 2 weeks that O shouldn't get any credit for the 3 wins because this isnt his team, now you want to say he should get all the blame even though this isnt his team.

I'll give him credit for the wins. I'll also give him credit if they win out from here.
And in the same breath I'll say he should NOT be made permanent head coach.

No, we're saying that Miles was fired because he couldn't produce an offense worth of beating Bama. We knew that he dumbed down the offense, to barely beat lesser teams, but we knew that offense would not beat Bama
Now we've seen O produce the same type of results vs Bama, so what he does against lesser teams is wash. We should have just kept Miles, and the money for his buyout
Time to move on to an offensive minded coach, and continue to find guys like Aranda, Pellini, and Chavis to run the defense

i dont want to hire O as HC at this point either but you know god damn well what you're saying is dumb.

Pellini and chavis suck arse compared to Aranda. I never want either of them even looking in LSUs direction.

The only way O was going to get the job is if he won out. I don't think Alleva would have the nuts to bring someone else in when the highly emotional fanbase wanted to keep him.
Now that he lose and the bandwagon is lighter I don't think he is worried about it anymore.

He should have LSU producing more offense against Bama than Western Kentucky and Kent State for starters. I mean the only reason this game was close is because of Arandas Defensive game planning.
If O is getting all the praise for the offensive production the last 3 games then why does he not deserve the blame for the poor production against Bama?

Yea, cause Miles only had 10 years and chose coaches and recruits.

personally i thought the game plan was terrible, etling has been really good so far at short to intermediate routes and really bad at deep balls, and yet we threw endless deep balls.
i would have opened with 10 straight passes, even if i missed on the first 9, to let bama know that we're throwin this fricker no matter what so you better back up. and i would have scripted and practiced those 10 plays, in order, so the players already knew them and didnt need the next play called in, to go HUNH on them.
all that being said, theres still only so much orgeron can do. you cant change a flat tire on a car going 70.

Everyone knew this including O. That's why he's interim HC. The plan was never to hire the DL coach as HC.

And what great QBs did O recruit to Ole Miss? Because if I remember correctly, O left the cupboard pretty bare, and Ole Miss had to go get 3 transfers during and following the O years: Schaeffer, Snead, and Masoli?

Agreed, but i still feel like his and Ensminger game plan cost us the game. Even if we executed 90% of what they called i feel like we still would have a donut next to our name.

quote:I've never said this. I don't give him credit or blame because "this is not his team". I do it because I believe he brings very little to the table considering the other options out there. It's really that simple. I've got nothing against the guy, I just think he's not an upgrade from our last coach.

Not what you were saying when we were setting offensive records in those 3 weeks.
Fact is everyone gave full credit to CEO for those 3 wins which he should have gotten credit for.
The people say find a new OC in the off season when he has had one bad game coaching like CEO has.
