Stole y’all AD and we can have your coach if we really wanted! Let that sink in!

It’s not if LSU can pay 100 million, Bc they can. But it’s stupid to give a coach a 10 year contract. Only Saban is worthy of such a contract Bc he has proved he can sustain success that long. Can Texas A&M afford a 50+million buyout if he maintains his 3 to 4 loses a year.

I think Jimbo has another run in him even at A&M. I agree the LSU job could possibly provide things A&M cannot and with that I think he would succeed.

I do think some overlook the sleeping giant theory on A&M. New conference. New stadium. New mindset for certain. Aka Clemson. Fla st long ago.

But LSU is LSU us LSU and he has muscle to deal with BR imho.

lol...

I mean, have you even looked at what O was getting paid vs Jimbo?

Do that, and you answer your own question here.

Already the most annoying part of the new coaching search is the endless stream of Jimbo Fisher posts. I don't get the obsession. Better coaches are out there.

Actually I do have some insight on this. I wouldn't be too worried. If I were a Aggie with the contract Jimbo has there if he leaves he leaves. Its not about money its about him wanting to leave and if that is the case why keep someone that doesn't want to be there.

The second that thing is that no I don't think Jimbo is in play.

But the fact that you are here shows that LSU is living in your head and you are worried.

In this thread, we can see an Aggie bearing his insecurities for all to see

Most of us have no desire to overpay for a guy who won’t modernize his offense and will never win another title because of it.

It’s business not insecurities. It happens. Look Fran was a disaster. But at the time A&M poached Bama it was maybe the biggest steal to date. Bama wanted to keep him badly. Just business. LSU does have things A&M does not. But A&M has changed the 80s mindset. Also Fla St is not perennial.

With LSU poaching fla for DB U. Gators Canes and now IMG academy spreading the wealth in SEC - a new moden attitude - if it’s really there puts A&M in a Vlemson position. That being said who knows. He may have friends family in BR still???

Brady talks about wanting to go back to Pats country one day.. lot of variables.

Bottom line is to think LSU is not in play if they want to be is foolish. Depends on what Jimbo desires in my humble opinion.

Also sumlin wasn’t near what his record showed. Manziel, yes a nfl failure went 9,998 yds 98 tds in rsfr and soph year. He single handedly got a lot done by A&M standards. Jimbo is recruiting very well.

Just a thought.

If you’re going to put the period and then also spell out the period at least spell it correctly.

Lol. This is true. But they also didn’t let people on the field. Que core pulling sword on SMU fan in 70s.
They thought flash was foolish. Now 100k on field. Smoke in tunnel. New stadium. New conference 100 mil coach. I have been around a while. A&M is beginning to at least flex some muscle the right way.

Whether it works out??? But it will be fun to watch.

But point taken - A&M has been sleeping along time.
