Was rooting for this guy but have to agree with the firing.
UCLA has all of the resources you need to succeed and he's had more than enough time.
EDIT; Have to admit I thought this was Enfield at first, the guy from FGCU, who's at USC.

the donors, like wasserman, are going to be very involved in this search and they will have to be told no by some very big names who will be offered a legit amount of money
people on UCLA sites are throwing around billy donovan but that doesnt seem likely. as of now it looks like jamie dixon is the early front runner who was a howland disciple so people may want to bring back that era with him.

idk. but its something that UCLA mods who have legitimate knowledge of the search have continued to make loud and clear. they said it goes further than the DUI stuff and it goes way past the rumors that follow marshal on him just being a dick and tough to be around. that its legit stuff that will keep him at nevada for a while. similar to the rumors that flew around norvell last winter when football schools were looking for new coaches

I don't understand why UCLA would choose Musselman to get high and mighty about after Alford's past at Iowa.
It would have to be some pretty ugly stuff to compare with Alford's handling of Pierre Pierce, etc. I was always shocked UCLA wasn't more put off by that, frankly.

I would assume gambling. I agree he would kill at UCLA and I would love if he got the job, but unfortunately it doesnt seem like it will happen

I never liked Alford at UCLA. Thought he was a better fit at New Mexico. So who's the next hire? What about Gregg Marshall?

Alford’s Farsi flaw was he recruited a bunch of millennial assholes who are to selfish and think they are better then they really are. Not one character guy on the entire roster.
