Tell me in what way he is not a home run hire?
The guy had top 20 defenses annually at VANDERBILT against SEC foes and has a sanctioned decimated Penn St at #2 nationally with a a schedule strength very similar to LSU's this year.

Yea you don't have outstanding defenses at Vandy three years in a row because of luck.

Even in a terrible year, little brother still can't beat big brother...

Who cares what he has to say?
Shoop's work is obvious.

We aren't interviewing him to be the HC.

Under Shoop's guidance, Penn State's defense was the best against the run in college football this year. It was also second in total defense, eighth in scoring defense and 11th in passing defense.

Whoever replaces Chavis will be only the fourth defensive coordinator at LSU in Miles’ 10 years: Pelini (2005-07), co-defensive coordinators Bradley Dale Peveto and Doug Mallory (2008) and Chavis (09-14)

Nah brah. Aggie destroyed LSU's program. Chavis was the greatest to ever coach a game of football. Aggie stole him and LSU may as well shut down the program. No one can compete with the Chief's greatness.

Aside from the abortion that was Malveto our defenses have been good to outstanding for a decade now. That is a good thing.

As I said Shoop as DC, Brick as LB coach and O as DL coach is the best scenario.

That's a "change your underwear scenario"

Boy if we could get Shoop Would be an excellent hire. Look what he did at Vandy with marginal talent in the SEC. I think he would make most forget about Chavis pretty quick especially compared to the talent LSU has compared to Vandy and IMO PSU too.

Shoop would be an excellent hire. I don't see how anyone could argue any differently.

Interview the man... See what he has to say.

Give them a break. The only things aggies have to brag about are chavis, speedy and endowment.
