this did not happen, he knew before he got to the recruits house and in fact called him to let him know he wouldn't be coming.
the reason this happened is someone leaked to Kirk Bohls in Austin who tweeted it. People want this person run out on a rail, I can assure you. Absolutely unacceptable that someone with a personal agenda underminded the university and the way we were going to go about this entire process. Sherman deserved a lot better, class act all the way.

I wouldn't trust what you read from twatter. $bill is a respectable guy. Sherman knew he was in the hot seat why would his boss not at least tell him over the phone. Calling total BS on this one.

The fact that Gene Stallings is on the BOR and likely is influencing these decisions leads me to believe that Kirby Smart is the frontrunner.
As an A&M fan (except for when they play LSU), I hope this is the case. Need a damn defensive guy.

no ohseven, he definitely was not told in person but the AD's hand was forced because of the leak. That is what I'm gathering at least.

Not exactly the same thing, but I remember hearing that one of Franchione's assistants left on a recruiting trip to talk a kid into going to Bama, but by the time he showed up he told him he ought to go to TAMU instead. . .
