I wouldn't worry about the sharks, but who the eff wants to row that far out. God invented engines for a reason. Just remember to bring your judge with you in case things get out of hand.

Entertain me

In laws are still here, there is nothing on TV and beer isn't cutting it yet. Please help me.
The SEC championship will help out Georgia and Bama in the rankings. The lack of a championship will hurt K-State.

Does the Pac-10,12,16 have a championship game?

Its 7:40AM on 11-11-12

It's in south texas. We went out there and the place is really top notch and the price wasn't too bad. We discussed coyote, dove, hog, deer (1 trophy, 1 spike, and any MLD permits the owner didn't want (said typically it is about 6-8 does for the land and the hunters would split up 6 of them), racoon, and squirrel hunting (basically anything but bob cats (even if I shot a bob cat I couldn't get it in a decent mount amirite???), and foxes).

The owner agreed to this. And since we are hunting so many things you would think it would be a year long or at least during a typical game season. We get the papers and it is explicitly mentioned that it is only bucks and hogs (only 1 trophy buck, 1 spike and 2 hogs per hunter) and said that the hunters have no right to the MLD permits. The lease would be restricted to only regular season deer. AND we could only shoot hogs during deer season.

We ran like hell from this place and sent the owner an electronic middle finger via email.

Thats what I'm thinking also. The lease requires all feeders be full at all times.

BSC land owners

I entered into a verbal agreement with an owner of a really nice piece of prime land to lease for deer season. After talking with the owner for a while on the phone things sounded good. I went with a buddy to go check the place out. Everything looked great. Covered in tracks and trails and scared up 4 deer in the middle of the afternoon. Told the owner that we have a deal so the owner worked up the lease and emailed it to me. Got the lease today and it seems like the owner has jumped off the deep end. These are things that the owner put in the lease which I thought seemed a bit over the top, but I wanted to post them here to double check to see if these rules are common practice and I am going to have to expect these rules on future leases or if the owner is being too controlling.

Allowing owner to lease the land out for hunting from under the paid hunters

Requiring all feeders to be set to go off at the same time at the time the owner mandates

Requiring hunters to sign in when they arrive at property and when they sit in blinds

Getting pre approval for persons accompanying hunter before going on the land

Leaving jawbones of deer at a designated location for record keeping

Requiring a minimum 12 hour call ahead of planning to go hunt

Can only hunt hogs during deer season

Not to mention that virtually none of what we discussed and agreed to on the phone (squirrel hunting, dove hunting, etc). was in the lease.

I decided it wasn't worth my money even though it is a really nice piece of land.

Did I make the right decision?

Gotta have a little fun every now and then. Right?

If I ran into a black mamba in the wild I would:

1: shite my self
2: judge to the face
3: run like hell
4: reload
5: shite my self
6: cry like a Baylor bear until the national guard showed up
