Scott Woodward has a great track record of hiring great coaches. Take a deep breath and know the reason the new coach hasn’t been announced is because his team is still playing which is a good thing.

The reason a coach wasn’t announced Sunday is because Riley went to USC.
You notice that the reporter didn’t ask Riley about LSU and he just offered up that he wasn’t going to the coach at LSU. That’s because he was in talks with LSU and USC and saying he wouldn’t be the coach at LSU put out of the flames. Until it was announced that he was going to USC.
Whether they are scrambling now or not I don’t know. I have to believe that Woodward would have been prepared for this and had someone for if Riley feel through.

You may know for a fact Riley was offered but I’m not going to assume something that’s pure conjecture.

You know they are scrambling if you know Riley was the choice all along, but you don’t know anything, so you’re speculating about all of it.
Woodward’s track record for hiring coaches so far has been incredible. I’m going to fall back on the history he has established in that regard more than I’m going to believe random internet strangers reaching for street cred on a message board while “sourcing” their uncle’s sister-in-law’s best friend’s nephew who cleans toilets at halftime.

Woodward is not Joe Alleva. He did not fire Orgeron mid-season w/o a plan. It's not his style. Procrastinating and being "led on" by a candidate is not his style either. I suspect signatures were inked prior to this week, and the delayed announcement is a courtesy being extended to the candidate.
If OU had beaten OSU Saturday, I believe we'd have already announced our next HC.

History like with the baseball coach? Kevin O’Sullivan was his first choice. That got shot down for off the field reasons and Woodward had a backup plan. Which lead to Jay Johnson, which I think was a great hire.
I’m not going off random internet posters like yourself. I watched Moscona’s and cullota’s videos Sunday.
And then the whole Justin Vincent thing seems like a move to calm everyone down while Woodward wraps up the hire.

If it’s not a guy in a championship game and there’s no announcement till next week or beyond, Woodward is way down his list.
