This letter is written to LSU fans as much as anyone else.

IF CLM leaves we have ourselves to thank or blame.

The oddity is that there may be those who accept the thanks and then a few years down the road will be forced to accept the blame

bullshite article; however, it was a great run and I think it's time to move on for all parties.

LSU fans pay their coach over 4 million per year. Screw Rabalais! Get a f'ing dictionary. You obviously have no knowledge of what "unappreciated" means.

LSU doesn't deserve Les Miles. The LSU fanbase (and that includes the local media) is delusionally unrealistic. It believes that if only we could find that Saban clone, he could do at LSU what Saban has done at Alabama. Even Saban couldn't (and didn't) do at LSU what he has done at Alabama, because LSU isn't Alabama. Never was. Never will be. And that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Miles has given LSU far more than LSU has given him, financially and in the currency of loyalty. He should do what his heart and his head tell him to do, whether it's to stay or to go if the opportunity is presented. I, for one, hope he wants to stay at LSU. But he is, in every sense of the term, a free agent.

This may be the most pathetic thing I have ever read on this entire site.

I'm sure many will not be applying for the job due to the LSU fans Rabalais describes.

I think Scott was defending Miles actually. More a case of saying Les has done a good job, he loves Mee-chigan, there is a group that never accepted him, and if he wins at his alma mater, it will show them up.

Nick Saban knew about LSU fans
Lea Miles knew about LSU fans
Didn't stop either one from coming. Won't stop the next one.

If the man wants to leave, let him go just like he tells his players every day... NEXT UP!

Agreed. I also predict his next article will present the exact opposite viewpoint. A well written and thoughtful argument as to why Les should stay.

Some of you guys are reading too much into this, so I guess Rabalais accomplished his goal.

FWIW I generally like his editorials.
