So barners can crow about getting a NFL DC that was about to be canned, but a NFL OC on the way out is garbage?

I would think that Dirk Koetter would be better fit. Don't believe Schotty w/o link.

Doesn't really make sense to me. Seems like Bama could do so much better.

The NFL is a different beast than college football. I would give the guy a chance before I started talking in absolutes. Plenty of people hated the McElwain hire too. Regardless, this is all rumor right now. Nothing is confirmed, other than an interview.

If only we could have the OC who's offense put up 92 total yards in the BCSNCG....

We can only hope that rumor is true. There would be hope for a lot of teams in the SEC. He is horrible. FWIW, there is no way BVG was going to be let go. They made the play-offs and their defense was better than the offense with way less talent on that side of the ball.

I'm not sure Saban would be comfortable with Koetter, but I would prefer Koetter of the two for LSU.
