Sources tell FootballScoop that Sark has made a very strong offer to bring LSU defensive backs coach Corey Raymond to Texas.

Unless he’s offering a path to become DC in the future, he’s wasting his time.

Interesting that this was rumored on the various Texas boards a few days ago and everyone there initially thought this was just the standard get my name out there for a pay bump talk, but it keeps on persisting and now football scoop has picked it up.

Wonder if O is considering doing a full reboot on the D side and hoping that helps with the various Title IX headaches

Like Raymond stupid enough to head to that dumpster fire program where careers go to die for every coach.

So he’s going to hire a DL coach and DB coach before hiring a DC?

Maybe he's offering him the DC job which I highly doubt but I guess it's a possibility. That I could see him leaving for. No for a DB coach at a downgrade where he'll probably be fired in a few years when they clean house like they do on every coaching staff.

It's only a matter of time before he offers Callaway.

If that’s the case, you tell him to go with God and expect him to be looking for a landing spot in a couple of years.

I’m not saying Raymond is incapable of being a DC, but Texas isn’t a job you make that leap to. If he wants to be a DC, he needs to go get that role with a solid MWC or AAC team and work his way up.

I would bet the house Sark isn’t offering Raymond the DC role. Co-DC would be the likely ceiling.

Why? Mickey Joseph was the one in the Title IX meeting with Davis and we’re hiring his brother.

I was thinking the same thing. Supposedly a poster on BOL said there was a possibility Golding May be going to Texas. If so, that would make a little more sense
