Well he either lied to Texas or Texas boosters, or allowed Sexton to lie, or is lying when he says he didn't consider it. In any case, he showed a lack of integrity.

Where is "TheDoc" - he had all sorts of inside info about the UT boosters paying off Saban's massive debt - the had iron clad sources that Saban was gone to UT.....
So - What happened to the debt? Where is Doc with his info?

Saban has had to at least think about the Texas job, to many upsides not too. Texas would be a good choice and the easier road to all time greatest CFB HC ever. Winning 3 Titles at 3 different programs would almost make Saban untouchable. Plus, Saban would get most of the Julio Jones game changer type recruits the next 1-3 years at Texas. Saban's roster depth is used against him at Bama right now, but Saban does do an amazing job considering Bama's star studded roster. Still, it's scary to think of Saban starting anew with the Titles behind his "Help me build something special here" pitch he'd have now. But....... the toughness and huge game experience a team gets from playing in the SEC. Wouldn't be there for Saban at Texas. I could see Texas getting exposed in the new playoffs system even with Saban as HC. Nothing prepares a team like the SEC does these days.

They all have sources here. Most are explaining how they were right and the deal fell through rather than their information not being from sources at all. Lessons were learned...no they weren't.

I believe the Texas job has been on the background for saban's for quite a while. However I also belie that turning his back on Texas and retiring from Bama is a perfect opportunity for Saban's to continue to rehab his image from the way he left LSU and Miami

I guess we are supposed to believe his agent met with texas officials last year and didn't tell nick; like we are supposed to believe he can't read or doesn't watch television, etc. he lives in a vacuum and worships Alabama so much he wouldn't consider leaving under any circumstances.

The fact that brown resigned after nick signed his extension says that saban never considered it. Everybody said, Texas decided to keep Mack so saban decidedly to stay put. Well that's obviously horse shite because Texas never decided to keep him, hence why he resigned.
Anyone that says otherwise is either a complete troll or just so desperate to believe that saban doesn't love alabama more than he loved LSU that they will latch into anything that makes them feel better.

Comparing his love of Bama or LSU is silly. I think he certainly loves Bama but more so he loves being back successful in the college ranks and no longer has NFL aspirations like when he was working his way up the ranks while at LSU. Seems to have matured and settled in and Bama is a great place to be.

He's already said he's staying you old fart. When he burned you frickers was he 62 years old? What if he's changed? Imagine that man.....someone changing for the better? I understand that a football coach is a cold robot and has no emotion but if they could change.....just a what if..ya know?
