I’m pretty sure yall missed the context of that statement/converstation.
They were talking about conf champ games and the diff between schools that need to play/win and those that don’t.
Before he mentioned om he was talking Ohio st (not needing) and then about Alabama needing the game for their post season chances .
Obv if they lose….. om is in and he said they’d never made it …ever. So it’s important to them.
That’s when he mentioned kiff and coaching the game.

Then fired him for fricking off before the championship. Kiffin has shown how he’ll coach in this scenario before. No way Ole Miss should let him coach the playoffs if he’s leaving

I’d have to go back and parse his exact wording, but I don’t think he ever directly said he didn’t know what he was going to decide. Any time someone makes a huge life-changing decision and they are the praying type, they are going to seek final confirmation and comfort even after they have decided.
