Ryan Nielson...He was DC for the Falcons last year. Anyone know anything about him?

Inside Texas is saying it is done and they are usually on top of things.. Idk anything about him other than what wikipedia says.. has connection to Sark when both were at USC

He’s a great coach. We wanted him as our DC and we got Daronte Jones instead because Sean Payton hates us. Home run in terms of player development on the DL.

Would surprise me if he took a college DL job. Seems like he could hang around the league as a DC. The Falcons defense was decent.

It’s possible but he is being interviewed for NFL DC positions. Why would he go to Texas as a DL coach? Seems like a downgrade for sure in every way.

Sometimes an extra title, responsibility, and pay sweetens the deal, but Texas already has given out the titles of AHC, Co-DC, etc.
Looks like it would be solely as DL coach.

Thats what I remember about him. Orgeron gave him an offer to be our DC but Payton wouldn’t let him go. Then Payton takes our DL coach 3 years later
