just saying but if he has covid and they lose saturday I bet ou doesn't get penalized and they make the cfp with one loss. kinda what we don't want if there is any shot at getting him

They were 8th in the initial rankings behind four 1 loss teams. CFP committee isn't exactly doing them any favors.

Yes, but a loss without Riley would still count less to the committee than one with him. all things equal, if we want ou out the best way would be a loss with him on the sidelines.
also after saturday you can't guarantee the teams ahead of OU will win out. They all look susceptible, they're absolutely still in the thick of it sitting at 8 with their biggest games ahead.

This has nothing to do with the fact that he is taking the LSU job (which he is) but this is unrelated to that.

Doesn’t matter how they lose…OU loses a game, they are out of CFP picture. No way 12-1 OU slides into 4 with an undefeated Cincy team present.

Baylor and OSU coming up. Regardless of what you think about the Big 12, they would be "quality" wins in terms of their rankings.
Plus they would get an extra game with the Big 12 CG.
