I would like the hire, but realistically just don't think he would leave WV.

agreed, BUT why are so many people set that rodriguez is the best guy out there

if miles didn't impress you (with what he has done in 3 years) and you think he is an okay coach, what has rodriguez done in 7 years to make you think he is anything more than a okay coach?

their resumes to this point are almost identical

rodriguez has more conference championships in a GROSSLY inferrior conference

You leave out one thing though!
LSU can afford to pay top $$ to our coordinators. Miles has has a LOT of help over here. I don't think you could say the same for Rich at WV.

agreed, BUT the last 3 years he has also had 2 heisman candidates and plays MUCH easier competition

all i am saying is their accomplishments and resumes are very very close

and for so many lsu fans to harp on miles, but fall in love with rodriguez doesn't make much sense to me....their paths to this point have been VERY similar, except miles has done it in less time against tougher competition and more convincingly in the post season

Hey 4's, why don't you like RR?

RR is very highly respected among other coaches and the media. WV will fight to keep him.

Will LSU fight to keep Miles? NO. Ok maybe publicly, but behind the scenes they want him gone.

i just don't think he is worth what it would take to get him

for that money i think we can do better

But he wasn't good enough for the Tulane job.

That's probably why he wants to come back here. He knows that at LSU he could hang 100 on them every year.

well from what i heard tulane didn't want someone else that would jump ship after 2 years

the fans and players didn't care b/c they enjoyed winning but the admin wanted no part of it...they wanted a long term solution....they go it, then fired him

rodriguez isn't going anywhere, at least not this season. no way he leaves his alma mater during an NC run. forget about it
