He might not be lighting it on fire for you, but as I've said before Les would do fine in the Big 10. Not to mention Les is like Bo incarnate and that has a lot of weight at the University.

Because Michigan fans have a different perspective on CLM than LSU and SEC fans do.
They see a man of character who is largely drama free who can recruit with the best of them. They would be content with a CEO coach that hires quality assistants. And there is no doubt whatsoever that Les is a Michigan man.
Rich Rod is just a bad fit at Michigan and it becomes more obvious with each passing day.
I predict that if Michigan makes another run at Miles, he would find it not only difficult, but impossible to say no twice.

I'm not questioning Miles integrity as a human being, just his coaching at times.

why the hell would Tenn. want him?

From what I've always heard Les and Lloyd Carr don't get along. It's something I always hear Michigan fans alluding to. I don't know exactly what the deal is between them, but apparently it dates back to when they were both assistants at UM.
When Rich Rod gets jettisoned I imagine Lloyd will have the ear of the new AD when it comes to who they go after. I wouldn't be surprised if Les doesn't get offered the job.

there are lots of rumors going around about why people think Lloyd hates Les, none of which have been proven to be true.
Lloyd is a respected figure at the University yes, but his opinion is not the be all end all.

why would lsu hire nick saban? he coached michigan st.? state was not exactly lighting the world on fire either were they? miles might be the perfect fit for michigan. seems the michigan fans have no problems with miles being their next coach according to posters on this website? this is a possible win/win for all parties.

Yeah, that would make a lot of sense. That would be like $8m in buyouts the last three years to get a coach that has been a massive failure since moving up to play with the big boyes.

Well, accodring to Beano Cook, the next coach at Michigan will be Urban Meyer. lol

I don't think thats even in the realm of possibilities as far as him leaving Florida. Nor do I think Michigan would even go there. Someone thinking we would take him, or that he would even leave to begin with is delusional. Urban is a great coach no doubt, but I think next coach they are going to go with someone who has a tie to the University.
