I cant link because the post that screen shotted it is behind a paywall on GigEm247 but feel free to find it on the first page if you have an account.

Apparently this guy called Jimbo staying at FSU last year even when media was saying otherwise... Claims to be using the same source here. In a nutshell, he heard that FSU has a counter being delivered tomorrow or Friday that meets some (but not all) of Fisher's requests to include a pay raise of some kind.

Take it FWIW but this dude is respected on Warchant. Could get interesting.

Whew, Ags may dodge a bullet and FSU may indirectly help us get out of our own way.

I don't know for a fact but I think jimbo wants some new facilities and some more money for assistants. hell, so say LSU offered him 7 mil and he declined so his decision is anyones guess. these media hacks that predict him going to a&m are like those predicting him going to LSU for two consecutive years.

the fact remains that if he leaves the state of florida he loses joint custody of his children. maybe he's willing to do that; maybe his wife will move also (altho I find it difficult to visualize her moving from florida to college station). my point is that it is entirely possible the aggies are getting played just like LSU was.

imo, no matter who the aggies get will probably be better than sumlin so I expect that program to improve. fisher most certainly will probably turn the big 6 into the big 7 in the SEC.

Meh. Not so sure just anybody is an upgrade over Sumlin. He won 8 games a year in the hardest division in CFB with less talent than LSU, Auburn and Alabama...

Grandad,

You have no idea what you're talking about. The "media hacks" are people from both the A&M and FSU side, and all of them (save a poster or two who claims connections) are all strongly predicting that he leaves. Further, many of them have reported that the family situation has been worked out. It's not at all possible that A&M is getting played.

Is it possible that Jimbo stays? You know, it's really not. I guess it's technically possible until the contract is signed, but it's as close to a zero percent chance as you can get at this point.

If its over then why hasnt he signed? Why is it in either team's interest for this to continue if it is 100 percent?

Was it this?

quote:

From a warchant insider via my BIL... Quote: Before I start this last bit for tonight, I want to remind all that I was one of the only posters to say Fisher was staying when LSU came calling the first time. Multiple sites said he was gone. All signs pointed to him leaving. Most of our best posters agreed he was gone. I'm not saying I couldn't be wrong this time, but my source is the same. With that out of the way, I fully expect Thrasher to get an offer in front of Jimbo by tomorrow, maybe Thursday at the latest. Fisher side is expecting most of his demands to be met, but he will have to give some, which he is willing to do. Money for support staff, coaches, and of course facilities are the hot topics. There could be some additional money for him, because of the Mullen signing, but Jimbo made It clear, that wasn't the goal. They do expect to see a larger buyout clause added. Some give and take. Jimbo does not want to leave Tallahassee. The reason this has been drug out is simple. They called Fisher's bluff, realized he possibly isn't blufffing, and now went to work on keeping him. Unless Thrasher's offer comes back flat, which they do not think it will, Jimbo will be a Nole next season. My confidence tonight is the highest it has been.

Well you are A&M and they are FSU. If $ is close he will stay at a blue blood over a 2nd tier program. It just doesn’t make sense to leave Florida st for A&M. Unless huge gap in $.

We can’t officially offer him until after our BOR meeting tomorrow at 3:00. Also, his season isn’t over until Saturday.
