Reports: Kiffin After Rodney Garner...

Georgia's prized Assistant Head Coach, Recruiting Coordinador, and D-Line Coach. He has coached both sides of the ball at multiple positions (We All Know Coach O is D-Line). He has coached on the offensive side at Tennessee in the past. Richt is all out trying to keep Garner in Athens. Also, Croon was given an interview recently by Kiffin.
BTW LSU should really try to get in the mix for Rodney Garner. He makes perfect sense for us.

I think we went after Garner once before but he stayed put. AU was after him too, I remember thinking it might be a good move for Chizik to pitch him the DC position to try and improve Garner's HC stock.

Getting Garner here (LSU) would be incredibly HUGE but I don't see that happening. If Tenn gets him then wow Lane Kiffin is really getting a nasty staff together over there in the mountains. If Croom came on up there it would be a great hire, he could coach Running Backs or OLine and would be a great recruiter for Tenn and would be a great developer up there on that staff.

Each year Rodney Garner and Trooper Taylor float their name out during the recruiting dead period in order to get a raise. It's like clockwork.

Garner got a big raise off an LSU offer like 2 years ago actually and i think he even got a title bump to arse Head Coach at the time

You gotta like Tenn tenacity in going after every good coach regardless of price. The school is making a big commitment toward winning again.

Yes I think its because UT hates Bama more than LSU does. (Bama 1 upped everybody paying what they did for $aban and his assistants....UT just trying to keep pace or even bump up the pace.)
