Does anyone have insight on O being reatianed as HC and the impact it may have on Aranda staying? The two don't really seem like a personality fit to me, but I'm just another TD poster who knows nothing. :)

Being that it appears Coach O allows his coordinators to do their thing without meddling in, I'm not sure why it would matter if they have different personalities.

Orgeron recently said he thinks Aranda is the best defensive coordinator in the country.

He has been talking him up every chance he gets. I'm sure Aranda hears that and appreciates it.

I'm very confident we keep Aranda if Orgeron is hired.

LSU signed Aranda to a Three years deal. Yes the want to keep him. They don't want to waist money. It's why they are looking at candidates that want to keep him. It's why O is a serious candidate. You keep O, you don't have to pay Craig or Aranda for breaking their contracts and you save money on the h.c.

sonny on 247 was asked about this last week and he said they get among fine, that Aranda would almost certainly be back unless he gets some incredible offer

I like Aranda but at least wait to see how he does n the next 5 games before hyping him so much to consider him a HC candidate.

Dear god the irony of that statement from you is just too much. Maybe you should just replace Aranda with O in that sentence and take your own advice.

I thought I read that Aranda studied film with Orgeron in California when Aranda was a student/coach? They've known each other for a while now.

If Coach O gets the job and he replaces Bradley Dale Peveto, do you think he tries to hire Bobby April as special teams coach.

No irony, I am all about recruiting and coach O has that, Aranda needs to learn from him.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe they are a match made in heaven!
