if it's Greg Davis, I will burn that fricking Athletic Admin building to the fricking ground

I've been asking everyone that question myself.
What exactly did he do so wrong?
Sure, they sucked last year... okay, that's one.
But I guess his 10 previous years of top 15 offenses mean nothing...

why the others?

I don't have a major problem with any of those guys.
Harsin scares me a bit just for the sake of how much of it is truly his?
I guess OB came out with a story that it's totally his offense... but I just doubt that the previous OC who is now HC just moves into an administrative role and twiddles his thumbs while Harsin runs the O.
Not saying he can't be good, though.
It would seem to be more in line with Miles to hire a more established coach than an up and comer though.

Google Bryan Harsin, if you haven't already, see what you think.

at this point, how do you label up and comers and established?

I wasn't trying to be a smart arse.

Jeff Jagodzinski would be a decent choice..

I didn't know if there was some link you thought I should read or something.
The Boise offense is certainly an impressive machine, and if it's truly the ingenuity of Harsin, then I'd be all for the hire.
My concern is that it's more of a Petersen/Harsin collaboration with Petersen being the overarching brains behind it.
But there's no way for me to know that... you'd have to interview the guy to find out.

A good friend of mine has been a professor at BSU for 20 years. He knows all the coaches and says Harsin runs the offense and is the real deal.
Meticulous film study and and out man's defenses at the point of attack. Makes few mistakes.
He loves Boise and the Idaho lifestyle but he might bite at more money. I would upload a link I find very informative but I suck at the interweb.

harsin, fuente and morris
Posted on 1/3/11 at 3:36 pm to Angry LLAMA
fuente is TCU's co-OC
morris is tulsa's OC/QB coach, also rumored to be the frontrunner for the vacant clemson OC opening
