Exactly, stingley came in as freshman ready. Am i supposed to credit that to a coach?

And he didn't progress in his play on the field. Maybe Kelly should give a look to Stingley's old man, since he seems to be the one who coached him up.

I guess all the former and current players that praise how good of a coach he is and credit him a lot with their development don’t know what they’re talking about.

They had a good relationship with the man. Some are voicing their opinion loudly because he is black and somehow want to make this a racial issue. They won't admit it. I don't ever see white guys with loud opinions when a white coach is let go. Maybe a head coach but not for position coaches.

Sometimes change is just the right thing for all involved.

Not a reflection of your premise at all.

BK is a great coach
CR is a great coach

I have no idea why CR isn't working at LSU anymore. I hate it, but I also trust BK is building a strong staff.

Good luck to CR

No one said that Raymond wasn’t successful at his job at one point at LSU, but look at the direction the DB room has turned.

I wasn't talking about Corey Raymond individually. You guys who got butt hurt over the exit of Corey Raymond need to take a breath.

And I'm not saying that BK is not talking to others about the type of staff he needs to have in South Louisiana.

This entire situation, hiring coaches, is the polar opposite of what coach O did. It appears that BK is actually interviewing folks and hiring the ones that fit his coaching philosophy.

Being an LSU alum does not make you qualified to coach others. Being able to recruit well, although super important, does not make you qualified to coach others. The fact that players like you does not make you qualified to coach others.

I have high expectations for BK and LSU moving forward.

He's not letting Derek Ponamsky do the hiring of assistant coaches?

Nobody said that BK didn’t try to keep CR. I just think we didn’t have room to move him up to assistant head coach even if we matched the money.

I’ve always talked about how previous coaches, when introducing a new position coach, the first thing they brought up was recruiting ability. I understand you need the Jim’s and Joe’s but you have to be able to coach them and give them a foundation to not only succeed but dominate. I think you’re seeing where more emphasis is being put on the coaching aspect with BK.
