What you have to ask yourself is if another coach, whoever that may be is capable of getting the talent to LSU.
During the 80s and 90s the same talent was in the state of Louisiana but from Mike Archer until Nick Saban, LSU lost on most great talent and the LSU program was a dumpster fire.
Dont think it can't happen again. Look at the Texas, Oklahoma, Florida and Miami stumbling in recent years. Unfortunately, regardless of a lot of things, the coach effects a programs ability to bring in talent. Despite Les's perceived problems, he gets the talent in the door.

anyone who thinks the top HC's in America are just waiting with baited breath to coach at LSU is fooling themselves.
Could we replace Les Miles with a good HC? Yes. But how many schools can you list who have had three straight great HC's? LSU has had two straig
ht. I think the odds are against us being that fortunate.

people that spout repeatedly that LSU made Saban

So LSU's current GOAT coach that came here basically unknown with a 28-21 record and took over a team one year removed from a NC and loaded with NFL players somehow made LSU and when he leaves LSU won't be able to find anyone comparable and will suck. Got it.
"Be careful what you wish for" ....... People wishing doesn't have a fricking thing to do with it. If he leaves it's his choice.

LSU is bigger than any damn coach. we will be fine if les leaves to go home.

IMO, the same people that spout repeatedly that LSU made Saban are the same people that spout LSU is fricked without Miles.
It makes no sense whatsoever to have both of those views.
I guess I can say the people that hate on Miles and say he's an idiot are the ones hoping he goes to Michigan. If he is so bad why would anyone hire him.
Then also if he is so bad, what makes people think we could do better when we freaking hired him in the first place? Why didn't we hire someone better in 2005? We were 1 year removed from a title, not 7.

You guys are blind. Just look at Florida...they had just as much talent as LSU when they hired muschamp, did that work out?
Is LSU in a better position than Texas? USC?

So you will be fine if we hire another coach with a similar record? And what happens when we lose a game? Should we just keep going until we find one that doesn't lose? Anyone can coach this team to 10 wins rt? So if the next guy goes 9-3 in his first year, he should be fired.

USC and UT are the top jobs in the country based on money, location and recruiting base.
Neither has done shite in almost a decade.

Why are you melting so hard son?
Les isn't getting fired. If he leaves it will be his decision.
He didn't make LSU. He got into a good situation and was successful maintaining it. It's not beyond the realm of possibility that LSU (being a top 10 job) could get a bright, up and coming coach or an older more established coach and be successful. LSU could also hire someone that fails...and yes, at that point they'll have to start over. That's how this works.

USC had major sanctions. UT let a once great coach stay past his prime.
UT played for a NC in January of 2010 (hardly a decade ago) and lost to Bama. That's 2 years before LSU lost to Bama.
