Great hire for Florida IMO. Was a great LB coach for us but his Florida recruiting wasn't as good as you would think given his reputation, however now that he's at UF he should be able to kill it in recruiting since it's a lot easier to lure Florida kids there than Arkansas lol
We knew he wouldn't be here long so at least we got 2 years out of him. Might be beneficial to us too now that we can look for someone who might be here long term

yep knew he wouldnt be here long but he did a lot in a short time with our LB's, certainly made Spaight a lot of money. Good luck to him.

Bingo. Even if Arkansas was a stepping stone job (not saying it is), this would not be a good example of such. Shannon is built to coach in the state of Florida.

Hate losing him. Arkansas' LB play this season has been the best I've seen in the last decade.

our only shot at keeping him was to give him the DC job and that certainly wasn't happening. and yes he's wired to coach/recruit in FL

Hogs just need to keep Robb Smith. He's not really coaching a position right now and can coach LB if needed. Coached LB in NFL last year.
