He texted me on December 21st with the Canada was leaving and that Ensminger would be calling plays today.
It was obvious to me that he was right about that second past also.

They tried the jet sweeps and ND blew it up every single time. They kept the shifts. That offense looked the same as it has all year. Etling has handcuffed it all year.

It looked the same bc it's the offense that's installed. They wouldn't just go get the play sheet from last year and call plays players done forgot

Was hoping my guy was wrong. The throwback screen to Moreau was the only wrinkle I saw.

Most of the pre-snap motion was simply bringing a WR across the formation in motion and the bunch/shift/overload stuff changed from a OT/TE/TE to TE/TE/WR

First off, of course the offense is going to look at least somewhat similar. They arent going to install an entirely new offense in a few weeks for the final game. Ensminger used Camerons playbook last year and you could tell they were the same plays but the timing of the plays and how often they were used and in what situation made all the difference.

However, anybody that has watched this offense since the second half of the Auburn game knows there was something different about this bowl game. Nobody here seems to have any inside info but if I had to guess I would say its certainly possible that CEO said Canada would be at the bowl game so as not to distract the team and instead let Ensminger use Canadas playbook to call plays.

57.5% completion (70% before desperation drive), 229 yds passing/21 yds rushing, 2 td’s, and 0 turnovers...
Please tell me how this loss is on Etling or that he was “handcuffing” the offense?? How about the cont.’d poor pass blocking, the lack of receivers getting separation, and cont.’d poor red zone play calling handcuffed the offense.

I’m not saying he was Peyton Manning out there, or that LSU doesn’t need to upgrade; but Etling was far from being the issue with the offense today.

NCAA passing rankings/avg yards for 2017

67 Clemson 224.5
84 Alabama 200.1
107 Georgia 169.7

Remind me again, what teams are playing in the playoffs this year??

And in case you are wondering, LSU is 85 on that ranking for season; so right amongst majority of the playoff teams.

I believe Canada called the game. But I think this was Canada just calling it exactly how O wanted. Just like Troy! It looked Similar but very different flow.

I need Random and TBL to start updating. I need it
