No one knows who made the right hire. They fired Sumlin and got a HC that won a NC in 2014 and had a perennial top 10 team. WE fired a coach that won a NC in 2007, runner up in 2011 and was a second tier winning team. (I agree both needed to be fired) A&M went out and got Jimbo. We tried the same, got sticker shock and went baragin basement hiring a man that went 10-26 in his only tenure as a HC.

I am not suggesting A&M will beat us, Coach Zero won't win big or that Jimbo won't do the same. I am only suggesting A&M hired their coach like a winning program. We did not.

I’m not going to lie...I wish we would’ve gotten Jimbo or anyone else who had been at the very least a half decent HC before in their career. Yes, it’ll probably take A&M a few seasons before they’re better than us but I guarantee you Jimbo wil take A&M to Atlanta before O gets us there.

It was desperate and on paper doesn't make much sense. But.... they didn't d---k around and made it happen. He may well be worth the $. I doubt it. I am just jealous because they made it happen and we went shopping like it was Black Friday or something.

Theyre still texas am. Nothing changes but the coach on the sidelines. Once he goes a couple years with average seasons, people will realize they made a huge mistake. Cannot wait to kick that arse again next year.
