Glen Mason

Minnesota Golden Gophers firing Glen Mason was truely a stupid decision. All this guy did at was win an average of 8 games a year while not having any facilities worth mentioning. Look at where they have been since! All Glen Mason did was go 8-4, 7-6, 8-5, 10-3, 7-5, 7-5 in a row and then was fired for having a 6-7 season??? He took Minnesota to 7 bowl games (5 in a row) winning 3. He produced NFL talent such as Marion Barber, Laurence Maroney, Greg Eslinger and Matt Spaeth. I bet they wish they still had Glen Mason. Imagine what he could have accomplished playing in brand new TCF Bank Stadium and actually having facilites to sell recruits on?

What makes me laugh is the automatic judgement passed by the "T" by my name. It's petty and immature. But I digress.

When you look at the records, minus Auburns Championship, none of the teams I mentioned are better now than the coaches previous.

Tubbs won y'all, what, 5 or 6 Iron Bowls in a row? I know that means way more to most AU fans than the 1 Natty.

Nebraska fired Frank Solich for Bill Callahan, right?

Oh, and the Marty Schottenheimer firing was absolutely ridiculous. They went 14-2 and lost in the AFC championship, yet he was tossed because the GM didn't like him or some crap like that. I don't care if you hate the guys guts, you don't just fire a 14-win coach unless there is a scandal.

Are you kidding? Petrino had to be fired. I appreciated what he did with the program but he further damaged his reputation, which wasn’t that good anyway, with his tryst with Jessica Dorrell. Petrino wasn’t the best recruiter to begin with and he will find it even harder getting into the homes to talk with recruits because of his actions. Petrino had to go and I couldn’t be happier with Bielema.

Cutcliffe was horrible post Eli..no recruiting ability or desire. Nice guy though, why doesn't TN hire him? I would sign off on this.

Southern Miss: Bower

I assure you this is not the case. Bower was fired for having mediocre teams. He was happy going 6-6 every year and going to a shitty bowl. My family, the majority die hard usm fans, hate bower. It was time for a change. Fedora was great, Johnson was terrible.
