Dan Quinn. DC in two straight Super Bowl appearances for Seattle. HC in one Super Bowl appearance for Atlanta. Two years as DC at Florida and a Broyles Award finalist in final year. Current DC of the 5-1 Cowboys.

Agree.

Only risk is he doesn't have the recruiting contacts in SEC territory, but one of his assistants can help there.

Young too. Give him whatever he says he needs to push Saban into early retirement.
The Steelers tried to pay him cheap in the past.
Just do it.

Would we have a realistic chance at Tomlin?

Would love that hire. Way better than Tucker.

I want to say his contract is up this year.

And they're going to be starting over with a new QB so they might let the coach walk while they're at it.

Makes $8 Million/year and is just turning 50 years old.
Would run Saban into retirement within the 1st 3 years and LSU would become the new AL for the new 15 + years
Want the best regardless of demographics? Well go for it because the answer is no if you do not ask at least 5 times.

Mike Tomlin is not leaving the NFL for a college job.

If he doesn't re-up with Pittsburgh he's going to sign a $12-15 million a year deal with some other NFL team as part of the largest coach auction in league history.

He would be a great hire, but he isn't coming.

Quinn, Peterson, Hackett, maybe Adam Gase, maybe Josh McDaniels...those guys are all pretty good thoughts. You'd really like a guy who's been a head coach, even if they weren't completely successful. They will have made some mistakes they may have learned from.

Urban Meyer, without a doubt. He's not just proven, he's one of the best college coaches of our lifetimes.
