Who needs to go big with Spielberg, when Rian Johnson is young and creative?

Does Johnson run the spread or pro-style? Details dipshit, we need details.

Why pay John Williams to do anymore Star Wars music, when Danny Elfman is reasonably cheap with at least one good movie on his resume?

So you're comparing Saban to Bob Stoops or Jim Tressell?

Cause Danny Elfman gets a lot of undeserved shite. He is probably a top 4 or 5 composer in Hollywood and has a list of older movies with great scores.

You missed the point.

I think he read OP and understood. You're not making a valid "point"

No. To put it in your OP's terms, people don't want to pay a Tom Cruise salary and a 10-picture deal for Sam Worthington.

Why hire Tom Cruise, when Jim Carey can read the same lines?
You just ruined Top Gun for me.

Damn, you are so off your game lately. Why the frick does the moviegoer care about someone's salary or picture deal, as long as the movie is entertaining and well done. If Tom Cruise gets 20 million, so what?

Movie financiers are the ones that care about who and how much. It affects their bottom line. Not yours. And since Tom has a proven record of success, he should get paid. But you can't go cheap and try to make comedian Kristen Wiig into a supervillain, it simply didn't work. Overpay for Emily Blunt instead.

This thread isn't aimed a moviegoers. It's aimed at producers.

If Tom Cruise is required viewing for 10 years and his movies start to suck, but the moviegoer is forced to only watch his shitty movies, they'll be pretty upset by year 4 or 5.
