I was at the LSU/Ark game sitting with some Ark fans and I asked that question.....WHY are they wanting to get rid of Coach Nut & do they really think they can get someone as good as him???
I mean it's Ark! Not that it is a bad school but I just don't see a coach leaving his decent 1-A school to go to Ark!

Michigan's problem is at the "stupid administrator" level.
That can be fixed, as people will apply for the job.
Arkansas' problems are tied up in a few other factors, such as the way that a very vocal minority of fans chased Nutt to Ole Miss.
That's more of a "Is this worth the headache?" issue.

When you consider the list of teams that Arkansas has to play every year, the job becomes less and less attractive.
The 'firing' of HDN could lead to a pretty steep decline.

It's funny Arky is getting used like a tampon by every coach looking for a raise/extension. I really believe your only option now is to go with an up-and-comer, a hot OC or DC. You've been too abused by established coaches. This process is showing you to be a laughing stock. Recruiting is suffering. Stop the bleeding now.

Actually the problem at Arkansas now seems to be a big power struggle between Broyles, theBoard of Trustees, new AD Jeff Long, and Chancellor John White.
Until these guys can get on the same page and put someone in charge, it will be a CF of magnificent proportions.

Seriously, the Arkansas search is taking the same nose dive as the Ole Miss search three years ago. Problem is that coaches don't want to come into a situation where a coach like Nutt is run off with the record he had.
