One year away from the Herman-type hype? Flavor of the week next year?

I said it last night he'll be a bigger name than Herman come this time next year...it's a damn shame LSU didn't have the balls to pull the trigger, but I love Coach O

If O does not work out then we can go after PJ

i think it takes 2 years and her's supernova Herman

PJ is a recruiter-first coach so it may take a year or 2 to improve the talent

Pj will already be at a big time program. We are not creative enough to make a good decision like that. We take the easy way out. No vision. We are a championship program that would be happy with winning 9 games every season.

But Alleva doesn't have the balls to go for it.

Heaven forbid you get into a 'bidding war' with a good coach another school wants.

Joe is the guy at the end of the bar that refuses to talk to any girl that has a guy within 20 feet of her

"Nah that's prolly her boyfriend. I think I'll just go after the 300 pound girl over there. No competition."

I'd take McIntyre (9-2 at Colorado) or Chris Peterson (11-1 at Washington)

I've always liked Peterson, I just don't think he wants to go anywhere south of the mason dixon

I wish we would have given Fleck the chance. Had he any recruiting ties here I think he would have been in the mix

No, but only because he may get a lower P5 job this year. It's tougher to stay at a small MAC school and wait for the bigger fish than at Houston, where there is more money and opportunities to play better opponents.

A name to watch over the next two years is Mike Norvell at Memphis. He has done a fantastic job keeping what Fuente started there moving in the right direction. They were a lot better than I expected this year after replacing the best QB in school history. He really looked good in that game yesterday. He is also recruiting even better than Fuente did. Give him 2 years. If they win an AAC title in that time, he's going to get a really good P5 job. Maybe not Herman-level hype, but that same that Fuente had last year as the first guy off the board.

Same for Wittingham at Utah. Will never leave the West.

Yeah defense is just about having players, see ball, tackle ball..I know it's not that easy, but c'mon. We need a young offensive minded up and comer. Saban had no ties to La either.
